Katie and I have a teeny tiny kitchen table ... and by teeny tiny, I mean you can put two dinner plates down on it and that's about all the room you've got. This is totally fine because there's only the two of us living here and we rarely (if ever!) eat at the same time, plus we've got tons and tons of counter space so preparing meals and such is never an issue. "So what," you're wondering, "does this have to do with you deciding to buy a desk?"
Well, aside from our cute little coffee table in the living room our Polly Pocket kitchen table is the only table we've got. For the past 6 months, I've been scrapbooking on the floor (no fun!), working on my computer in my bed (soooo not good for my laptop) and otherwise being inconvenience by the lack a solid, spacious surface. On Sunday evening, I decided that this was going to be the week I bought myself a desk. And here we are - four days, $15 dollars and a brief Craiglist hunt later and I've got a simple, practical space to call my own! I ♥ you little desk. I really do.
Blessings come in all shapes and sizes. This week, one of my blessings came in the form of an IKEA desk. It's the little things, folks.
